| I have an ENORMOUS zit above my left eyebrow. It's been there for about 2 days and this morning I popped the bloody thing. It was so big it left a scabby dot.
I don't get pimples very often, so my kids are not used to seeing any junk on my face. So today, as we were gathering on the carpet for a story, THIS is what happened..........
han chen: Ms. Hwang, you're BLEEDING!
eddie: yeah! Ms. Hwang you have blood on your head!
faisal: Yeah! You have blood on your face!
christine: Why do you have blood on your face???
me: I'm not bleeding boys and girls, it's just a pimple.
class: EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
me: 
faisal: It looks like you have a pimple ON your pimple! EWWWWWWWW
class: yeah! a pimple on your pimple! A pimple on your pimple! EWWWWWWWWWWWW
me: 
THEN, this afternoon.................
kany: ms. hwang, it's your birthday soon!
me: yes, it sure is, I'm getting old!
yi tian: YOU'RE NOT OLD! YOU'RE NOT EVEN MARRIED!!!! YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!!! hahaha YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A BOYFRIEND!!!!! How can you be OLD?!!!!!
geez, at least they have no trouble saying EXACTLY what's on their mind!

| I never remember to take my multivitamins. I can go weeks without popping a single pill. The solution? Make the kiddies remind me! So.... in addition to having a door holder, table monitor, calendar changer, and a super kid (takes down the attendance) I have a vitamin reminder!
He comes up to me during random moments of the day and asks, "Miss Hwang, did you eat your vitamin today?" It's incredibly cute, especially because he talks like a character from Lil' Rascals! OBVIOUSLY, this is a highly coveted job! So much so, that I am receiving several reminders from a lotta different kids, who are NOT my designated vitamin reminder-er.
One of my shweetest boys came to school with this....
The blue noise maker was included to "be fun."
The book marks: "I got it at the library and I wanted to give it to you"
And the black box? "It's your treasure"
How cute is that note??? He's only been in the country for a year!

richard: my holiday was SO good! my dad came from Denver and brought me a sweater and a pair of shoes and...

| On lunch... I have to go out for yard duty soon.  I actually have DOUBLE duty today AND tomorrow! This morning after reading group, Peter (one of the "goodnight" boys) stops me.... Peter: Ms. Hwang I have to tell you something. Me: Sure, what's up Peter? Peter: I love you. me: AWWWWWWWW *melt melt melt melt* I  my job! | | |
| I have become a zombie since I started working. The real world is a scary place, but luckily my kids are amazing and keep me totally entertained!
This afternoon, after dismissal, two grade 2 boys came back to my classroom because... "we wanted to say goodnight". I almost cried.
